Kinley turned 2

My baby turned two on February 10th. It was strange to have such a small birthday party with just our little family but it turned out fabulous. I had a brilliant idea to make a cake that looked like a flower, instead it turned out looking more like the sun. It was made with love and that is all that really matters, right?

Quarter Sweet Quarters (at least for now)

Here is some photos of our new place. We were lucky enough to get a place on post while we are here. Now Dave is close to work and can come home for lunch. I didn't think to get some of the outside but it is very green and lots of trees. We also have a nice park at the end of our cul-de-sac that we have been loving.

The big move

Well the time has come to finally move. We are moving to Kentucky for 9 months and then on to our more permanent duty station after that (if you can say anything in the army is permanent). Hopefully we will learn where that is in the next couple months. Don't worry I will still infrequently update my blog.

Blogging

I go back and forth on how I feel about blogging, but I have been inspired to finally update mine.

Basic Training Graduation

I went out to Oklahoma for Dave's basic training graduation, it was really good to see him. It was a very wet trip, I have never seen so much rain fall and for so long in my life. It is good to have basic training behind us and to move on to bigger and better things.

Halloween

We had a funtabulous Halloween this year, considering I could easily do without this holiday. Our friends Eric and Katie invited us up to trick or treat at their house in Cedar Hills. Jaxon and Taylin had so much fun going from house to house. I would consider this their first real trick or treating experience and they loved it. Kinley didn't want anything to do with dressing up or going house to house for candy but she enjoyed her self all the same.

Fall fun

Okay, so some of these pictures were taken in the summer and even spring but close enough. We have really been enjoying this warm fall, the kids love to play in the leaves for hours. The only thing I won't miss is raking the leaves, over and over and over and they just keep falling.

Dave's OCS (Officer Candidate School)

Dave has 26 more days until he officially becomes an officer in the United States Army, not that I am counting, not for that reason anyhow. He has been gone for 4 months and 7 days and I can't wait to have him home for a while. Hopefully this next week we will find out where we are going to be stationed, I am very anxious.
